Quids Builds CNET Imports
Published: Friday 14th July, 2006
Quids Technology has developed a two way data transfer system to request and receive rich content updates from CNET. QuidsDb requests data specs and images from CNET, imports the data, and then generates a Web display.
Along with developing the import routines, Quids Technology also provided some updates to the QuidsDb Parts interface to allow users to view and edit the imported data, and to allow "Send / Don’t Send" request switches. After the retailer chooses which products to update no other user intervention is required. QuidsDb manages the import of vast amounts of high quality, up-to-date specifications, descriptions and images, and then dynamically generates it onto the retail Web space.
This integral import solution will save retailers hours of data entry, and running import routines for several different manufacturers.
